Here's the thing, let me get that spun for you: I used Customizer to make this thing from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53916! I made these changes: Twist and turns set at .4 cycles each time Walls turned up to a super strong width of 0.8mm Layers coming out thin, at just 2mm Curved shape created with hypotrochoid option checked on Height fixed high, 48 mm and looking sweet Radius for inner ring: just a plain 16 Inner gear or roller spinning fast, radius 1mm away Fixed path set at exactly 20 space units apart each revolution round the thing Double loops in shape created by the custom twist turn of the design 2 x complete twists turns. Finally solid thickness to keep all the internal pieces stable - 0 base. I am printing segments one at a time: just 1000 bits together.
