Spiral Chain 30 Links 1.5ft
thingiverse
The chain design is the same as the original just with each chain link merged as their own object rather than two separate parts. I had a problem where the original chain rendered fine and seemed alright. Yet when I sliced it using Cura v4.10.0, the chain for the Chomper would be subdivided by hexagons where each chain link object was divided. The slicer would then slice each chain link as two different parts and would not properly slice them as a whole. I deleted those internal faces manually in blender and fixed the model in 3d builder which merged each chain links so that they were all one object each. They now correctly slice and will print as originally intended. If you look at the images below you can see from the first two pics that cura sees the internal hexagonal faces and slices them in. The following two pics are of the chain after each link had been merged. Each chain link is 22mm long and 15mm wide. They are hexagonally thick at 3.5mm at its thiccest. In total there are 30 chain links so it should technically measure out to 45.7cm or 1.5ft. If you want a shorter chain you can go into 3d builder or any stl editor and delete chain links off the end. The calculation for chain length is: <tab><em>Chain Count</em> = (<em>Length</em>-7)/15
