Spiral bevel gears, also known as conical or helical gears, prove their concept through a Wikipedia theory. However, the naming of these files is incorrect; they are not hypoid gears since their axes cross at one point in space. Gcode for printing was generated using Netfabb Ultimaker edition and Martijn's build-style, with 0.15mm layer height. A standard Ultimaker printer was used at increased speed and fan operation. The printed parts are approximately 0.3mm too large in the x-y direction; thus, teeth size adjustments were made. Additionally, ProE module default rotation caused a 45-degree rotation of teeth; rotating the STL back by this angle will correct it. Post-printing steps include re-drilling straight 2.8mm holes for M3 bolts and assembling the gears to turn endlessly. Printing one gear at a time helps reduce stringing, which is minimized using Netfabb.
