Spiral 1" Light Baffle std.
thingiverse
This is a 1" spiral light baffle for eliminating stray light on an optics bench, where spirals are easier to print than stacked disks. Standard support rods are 1/2", with a 1" diameter through-bore, 1-1/2" overall diameter, and 2-1/2" long, featuring the last 1/2" cut with square threads for attaching to other baffles. Long light-tight tubes can be constructed by connecting screw threads. Short labels can be placed on rod-holders. All dimensions are customizable in OpenSCAD. Version 3 adds some tapering on the threads to ease connections. I've added a lens/filter holder with male/female threads that can be attached to the light baffle. Short labels can be embossed on the cylindrical holder. This component was modified from the Open-source optics project, whose goal is to drastically reduce the cost of scientific optical hardware by the Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group.
