SpinReel Mounts PVC and EMT

SpinReel Mounts PVC and EMT

thingiverse

This series of mounts is designed to fit perfectly with the Gilbert Engineering SpinReel and SpinReel Max. Versions for both PVC and EMT are included, giving you flexibility in your choice of material. The 1/2" PVC or EMT slides into each mount's openings, creating a sturdy support structure behind the coro. At the back of each mount, a screw is used to secure the PVC or EMT firmly in place, while a cross PVC connector at the center connects the perpendicular PVC or EMT sides together. If you're using EMT conduit, an EMT bushing STL is provided to ensure a snug fit of the smaller EMT conduit into a PVC cross, allowing for added rigidity and stability. This bushing also enables one section of EMT to run continuously through the cross as a single piece. Ideally, attach the mounts before inserting pixels, as affected pixels will need to be removed if you install the mounts afterwards. It's crucial to note that the SpinReel is not symmetrical at first glance, and there's a specific orientation for these mounts to align properly. If the pixel holes don't line up, it means the mount isn't positioned correctly. The top of the SpinReel features a triangle point, with zip tie mounting holes running vertically. Existing zip tie holes are utilized where available, and Gilbert Engineering plans to support all zip tie hole locations in the future. When referencing the Right and Left side, please note that this is from the perspective of the backside of the prop. This design was inspired by jefft0825's Rosa Wreath Mount.
