Spinphoresis - Spinning Water Electrophoresis
thingiverse
A revolutionary concept design for a spinning electrophoresis device comes into focus. One disc-electrode seamlessly connects to the central well, while 8 other electrodes surround the outer edge of the device with precision. A carefully calibrated voltage potential is established, propelling charged molecules towards one of the outer electrodes at specific intervals. A sophisticated timed counter circuit expertly switches the connected outer electrode at a defined rate, utilizing pulse-width modulation to create a continuous path around the outer edge. This groundbreaking device functions as a highly effective filter, skillfully excluding small charged molecules. At zero rotation speed, all charged molecules converge in the outer ring. As the current rotation speed increases, larger molecules demonstrate insufficient inertia to reach the ring before the direction changes, and remain safely contained within the central area.
