Let me finish and check it all out to be sure it's all correct, this one was inspired by "Jubeck's", a wonderful brewpub in Dubuque, Iowa. They have planes and globes for decor so I made this, just for fun. It uses a small 12v photovoltaic panel to power a small gear motor, a surplus motor with approximately 300:1 reduction or around 20 RPM. The bearings are all 608 skateboard bearings, and the bearing posts are offset for adjusting the gear fit. You will need to make a small belt, I used 1/8 urethane and heat welded the ends to make a belt, however a rubber band worked during the testing phase. Many parts are needed to make this and it takes a lot of fussing with to get everything mounted correctly.
