Spinning Balancing Bird Remix Without Attached Supports
cults3d
This is a remix of Spinning Balancing Bird, and I must say, the bird has won over the hearts of my friends, family, and even my students. Unfortunately, the attachments on the original model posed a bit of a challenge to remove, leaving behind some rather unforgiving sharp edges. I turned to Tinkercad to tackle this issue, carefully removing the extraneous supports and creating a new STL file from scratch. It's not a flawless solution, but it works like a charm nonetheless. However, I found that even with this revised model, additional supports are still necessary to ensure a successful print. To get around this, I discovered that flipping the design over so that the beak faces downwards yields far better results. The posted STL file, on the other hand, retains its original orientation. For those interested in creating their own versions of this bird, I encourage you to check out my take on the original: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:710888.
