Spinner Spinner
thingiverse
This converts a three-armed fidget spinner into a brushless DC motor by attaching magnets to each arm. As the arms spin under the magnetic field sensor, the sensor activates a MOSFET transistor that sends current through coils positioned underneath. The coils then push against the magnets with an electric charge. This makeshift project serves as inspiration for others, and although it's not well-documented, those interested in replicating it can ask questions and receive answers. The coils were sourced from an old 3.5-inch floppy drive obtained at a surplus store.
