To wind skeins of yarn into balls, follow these instructions: first, print a hub, five clamps and a jig, excluding arm_detail. Secondly, cut 5 pipes measuring 15mm in length, each 33cm long for a 2m skein. Then, using the jig, drill a 4mm hole through one end of each tube. Next, chamfer the ends beneath the holes to ensure smooth movement within the hub. Attach the tubes to the hub with pins (e.g., cut down 4mm nails), ensuring correct length for tight clearance. Finally, mount on a central 16mm dowel spindle and secure with a heavy base or table clamp. For an alternative base, you could use a landrover differential crown wheel if available.
