Spinner for a Clickity Clock
prusaprinters
A spinner that is designed to mimic the spinner of Clickity Clock as seen in Netflix's Word Party program. The spinner is balanced so that it can spin freely in a horizontal or vertical orientation. It optionally can include a clicker for audio feedback of the spin. Spinner measures 11 inches long by 7 inches wide. Print Settings Printer: HyperCube Evolution Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: Varies Filament: 3D Solutech PLA various Notes: The Pointer must be printed with 100% fill. This is due to the counter balance weight being calculated to move the center of mass to the pivot point of the spinner. Printing at another fill percentage will cause the pointer to be nose heavy. The remaining parts can be printed at 20% fill. Post-Printing Assembly Parts to complete: Qty 1 - M5 x 16mm screw and nut Qty 2 - M3 x 10mm screws Qty 3 - M3 x required length to fasten to clock. These screws fasten through the mounting washers, through the clock material and into the spinner base. The holes in the base are 4mm deep and sized for M3 screws to cut their own thread. Clickity Clock Shot Wheel No one said that Clickity Clock is only for the kids. Optional Clicker The clicker is a small piece of smooth flexible rod. I experimented with several materials. PLA - Worked for a short period of time (about two dozen spins) and then broke. PETG - Worked but broke sooner than PLA. Wire insulation - Jammed the spinner, too flexible. Piano wire - Couldn't find any of the right thickness that would work smoothly. (This doesn't mean that there is not a thickness that will work, but that I didn't have any in my junk box.) Extension nozzle from WD-40 spray can - Success. The clicker will need to be glued into the base and trimmed to engage the underside of the pointer. Adjust so that it clicks but does not cause excessive drag on the spinner. Category: Toy & Game Accessories
