Spine Pen Holder
thingiverse
My wife works for a chiropractor and has a small bowl to hold pens on her desk where patients check in and out. I thought I'd try to make something nifty for her desk. Base: I designed the base in tinkercad with embedded lettering. I had planned to do the letters in another color for inlay but that didn’t work out so I just left it as is. Spine: Found online but I forget where now. Had to adjust it's size. The first print of it needed a bunch of support that was almost impossible to remove. Split it vertically in half and then printed it as right and left sides with no support and it turned out really nice. Had to dremel out the post hole a little to get a good fit due to the lack of supports. Post: The post was kind of an afterthought. Originally it was part of the base but I decided to to separate it and eventually glue it all together.
