Spine Candle Model
sketchfab
I'm examining this candle I picked up at Walmart in their Halloween display. Its unusual design caught my eye, leading me to believe it would be an excellent subject for 3D modeling. To create a high-quality image, I employed the turntable method with a marker palette and a vibrant green background. The photo shoot involved 168 images. I'd rate the quality and accuracy of these photos as medium. The model contains 60,000 faces. The camera used was a Sony Alpha 6000 mounted on a tripod for stability. I'm grateful to the Indiana State University Geospacial and Virtual Archaeology Lab and Studio for providing access to their equipment for photo capture and software for processing.
