This is a fan mount designed specifically for the average Chinese 500w spindle, which drops a fan right in front to cool the bottom portion of the spindle. I'm not sure how effective it will be yet, as I haven't tested it with extended use, but past experience has shown that the area below the spindle mount can get quite hot, prompting me to create makeshift fans to keep it cool. With this legit fan mount finally complete, I've ensured my spindle is protected from heat-related issues, which would be a disaster considering its cheap price. Looking back, this setup might also help clear debris from cuts. If I upgrade to a more powerful fan, chip clearance could become even more effective. The design consists of two printed pieces that snap together easily; the connection point is obvious when assembled and features a hole for an M2 or M3 screw, or you can opt for glue. The fan mount is designed for an 80mm fan size. Happy printing!
