Spindle control board
thingiverse
A relay board is employed for controlling a milling spindle's on/off function. This setup is wired directly to RAMPS port D10, with Grbl firmware in operation. A laptop running Ubuntu hosts software including GrblHoming and bCNC. The latter provides valuable support for autoleveling, which is especially useful during the process of milling PCBs. Two stepper drivers receive 24V power supply, and a pair of 12V relays are connected in series to handle this job. Designing the case involves utilizing FreeCAD. The necessary PCB is designed using Eagle software, and the associated G-code for milling is created with pcb2gcode. This G-code project file has also been included within the provided thing files.
