Spin art plate
thingiverse
The text is about creating a custom-fit housing for a small DC motor used in a homemade spin art machine. The 4th and 5th graders at UCDS designed it, attaching the motor to a cardboard box using its two threaded holes on either side of the shaft. A hand crank was also added to control speed and direction, making it a collaborative activity. The parts were 3D printed on a Replicator with medium resolution PLA. Suggestion: capture footage with a smartphone camera for an enhanced experience!
