SPILIS SLUICEBOX GENERATOR

SPILIS SLUICEBOX GENERATOR

The idea was to create a generator that could craft customizable sluiceboxes in various sizes, riffles of diverse shapes, classifiers tailored to fit perfectly, mats with integrated riffles, mats featuring extruded geometry, and more - all from a single tool. This is my vision for it. I'm not a programmer and this is only my third project using Openscad; I know the code may not be elegant or simple, but it works for me and there's ample potential to add more features like surface libraries for mats, water connections, fittings, tubes, underflow riffles, hydro riffles, fluid beds, or even a trommel. You could incorporate your own dxf file for custom riffle designs or extruded surface geometry. This project can be made more dynamic in the future. I'm aware that there may be significant errors in it. If I've made a mistake, please don't get angry - help me improve it for the next version. If you discover a design or combination that works exceptionally well, feel free to share it so others can build upon your idea. To use this generator: 1. Gather all files except the .stl in one place. 2. Run the generator from that location. The generator allows you to create a custom sluicebox with a channel and fitting classifiers if desired. You can craft plain mats, riffle mats of customizable sizes, single riffles, or full-length mats. First, decide what you want to create. It's helpful to make a quick sketch of your end result and how the parts can be combined. Also, consider what your printer or machine is capable of producing. Several combinations are possible, like creating a mat with classifier, riffles, and surface pattern in one part. Note that sluicebox channels often exceed home printers' capabilities, but it's easy to make one by purchasing a square pipe, cutting it, nailing some wood, bending metal or plastic, or using an existing sluicebox.
