This is a work in Progress still. This can also be used for the Firework Star and linked to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5200407. That page will also give the adapters that screw into the sphere for fitting the firework spokes, The firework star is a great visual prop using bullet pixels developed by Charles Comiskey His build video is here : https://youtu.be/p4HX2L3gwCg but visit his Thingi verse above for the latest links. This build here will give a sphere about 103mm diameter with 32 of M18 x2.5mm Threaded holes for an adapter to create a spikey lighting decorations. I suggest running a 18mm tap through the holes once assembled. I have included an adapter that will take a standard 12mm pixel bullet. You just need to print out 31 adapters and slide the bullet pixels in from behind..all the wiring is inside the sphere. use one of the holes as a feed/ hanging/fixing point. I have printed this without supports (a bit stringy in places, but it was ok) 4mm x 10mm long pegs are uses to align the two halves. There is also an addition 3mmx10mm peg to ensure consistent alignment of the same (semi) holes. The plastic clips keeps the two halves together. It makes for a solid fit especially when the adapters around the centre line are also screwed in. You must print the clips with them standing vertical on their end. If you do it flat the direction of the printing means the "clip" part is not strong enough to clip into the grooves in the sphere. Being standard metric threads I am sure there are many more adapters that can be developed to fit the same concept.
