spider tank
thingiverse
The mechanical behemoth known as the spider tank is a four-legged powerhouse that boasts an impressive five turrets, each capable of independent movement. Its legs are designed for maximum mobility, allowing the tank to roll smoothly on wheels or walk steadily on its sturdy feet. At the forefront of this mechanical marvel lies a quad cannon head, ready to unleash devastating firepower at a moment's notice. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: Robo 3D * Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Model * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Yes * Resolution: High * Infill: 30% Notes: To achieve the desired color scheme, I printed the parts in groups. Although some prints may not require supports, I opted for them as a precautionary measure. The majority of the pieces have minimal contact with the bed, necessitating the use of rafts to ensure stability. Post-Printing: Removing the supports can be a tedious process, but once complete, assembly is relatively straightforward. Attach the balls to the feet, then secure the feet to the bottom leg. Next, connect the top and bottom legs to the knees, followed by the turret attachments of your choice. Finally, insert the legs into the body, taking care not to overlook any turrets that may be situated underneath. Unfortunately, the movable pieces tend to loosen over time, detracting from the overall experience.
