To eliminate impact noise from hand movements on a shoulder rig, I designed a spider mount for the H4n field recorder that attaches to a 15mm rod system. The existing inner part of the H4n's spider mount is used in conjunction with two universal accessory-holders for 15mm rod support systems and remote handle control for optimal hands-free operation. This design allows for easy attachment to other field recorders or microphones, using 2 1/4" bolts. The mount can be connected to a camera's 15mm rod system with M5x16 wing bolts and nuts.
