Spider Face

I crafted this unique design specifically to participate in the #CostumeChallenge2017. This intricate model comes in three configurations: a full-scale version, a half-scale model with sockets to accommodate legs, and a quartered scale model also featuring leg sockets. The entire piece was printed on a 200 x 280 bed in sections. The concept behind this design was inspired by an adorable spider I came across at https://www.flickr.com/photos/stephen63/29208898376. To assemble the various parts, I employed hot glue; however, other adhesives could be used with equally effective results, and I'm contemplating adding clips for added stability. The model is a bit rough around the edges due to my hasty printing process, as I ran out of filament at a critical juncture. Nonetheless, it still captures the essence of its inspiration beautifully. To give viewers an idea of the different looks possible with this mask, I've included images showcasing three distinct eye options.
