Spider Coupling with rubber insert: 4.75mm stepper motor to 8mm threaded shaft

This printable spider coupling is designed for a rubber insert, featuring robust clamping when tightened evenly. Ensure correct cutting of the rubber spider to achieve axial compression cushioning, angular cushioning, and rotary cushioning without slop while maintaining compression. Videos showcase low-speed and high-speed operation; alternative experimental versions use silicone sealer. The design is inspired by various things such as Universal Joint, Flexible Shaft Coupling, and Prusa Mendel PLA Coupling. To assemble, print the parts using a solid profile for strength and clean up afterwards. Drill 3mm holes through the clamping areas for proper force and travel. Use the printed spider as a pattern to cut a rubber spider of appropriate thickness and shape for symmetry. Softer rubber provides more cushioning, while harder rubber creates stiffer coupling.
