Spice Rack For Larger Bottles

Spice Rack For Larger Bottles

thingiverse

This is a spice rack for larger bottles, accommodating sizes up to 54mm in diameter. I had tried printing another design found on Thingiverse but it failed to fit my spice jars properly, so I opted to create this alternative instead. The rack measures 195 x 60 x 35mm and should fit comfortably within the build volume of a small printer. To ensure clear removal from the print bed without supports, the bridge sections in the openings were limited to 12mm in length, provided the print temperature is kept relatively low. This particular model was printed with a brim to maintain flatness and facilitated easy cleanup due to its predominantly straight-line geometry. The material used for this print was Hatchbox wood PLA, which has become my go-to choice. It can securely hold bottles, cans, or jars up to 54mm in diameter and is designed to be mounted using double-sided tape on the solid beams at the back of the rack. The front bar was deliberately kept low to allow easy visibility of labels, although some users may need to take additional precautions to prevent them from becoming dislodged when slamming cabinet doors shut. For those experiencing this issue, alternatives include storing plastic bottles exclusively, securing a rubber band across the front, or remixing the file to raise the front bar slightly. The original design source is available at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0erNBLDi6zI, and I would appreciate it if you could share your own creations or modifications by posting a photo or remix.
