This mysterious reclining figure, crafted from coarsely textured red clay, measures approximately 7 x 2.5 x 4 centimeters in size. Dating back to the New Kingdom era (circa 1550-1069 BC), this artifact was subsequently acquired by the Classical Archaeological Institute. The sphinx itself embodies a classic fusion of human and animal forms - a human head atop a lion's body. This distinctive amalgamation underscores the presence of humanity within the realm of the divine.
