Sphinx (derived from the Greek "sphinga", and alternatively spelled "Dusitelnitsa") - reinterpreting the ancient Egyptian name of the sphinx, "shepsess ankh" meaning "living image". This mythical creature has been represented as a zoomorphic being in art throughout history. In ancient Egypt, it is depicted as an animal with the body of a lion and the head of either a human or (rarely) that of a falcon or ram. According to Greek mythology, the sphinx was said to possess the voice of a woman, combined with the physical attributes of a lion, along with the wings of an eagle and the tail of a bull. This particular model has been recreated using advanced technology by photo-scanning techniques, which have optimized it within the program ZBrush, while providing 4K texture quality.
