Sphero Water Hazard Ramp
thingiverse
This ramp is a specially designed feature intended for a Sphero obstacle course, creating an artificial water hazard. Place one ramp at the edge of a water-filled tub, and Sphero should navigate smoothly in and out of the water with ease. When I conceptualized this ramp, a plastic shoe box was the inspiration behind its design. The orientation is optimized for effortless printing, but its true purpose is to submerge the shorter side into the water while securing the longer side's end with tape on the floor. However, I am currently unable to test this setup firsthand, and a printer of considerable size would be needed to print it in one piece. Consequently, breaking it down into smaller components and reassembling them with glue will likely be necessary. Another concern is the buoyancy of the printed part; potentially using higher infill densities could help counteract any buoyancy issues that may arise. Alternatively, simply taping the structure in place could also prove to be an effective solution.
