Sphero Micro Carrying Case
thingiverse
This is a custom storage case for the Sphero Mini. The case has ample space to hold all the parts of the toy, including bowling pins and the charging cable. You can charge the Sphero even with the case closed, thanks to its design. The two halves of the Sphero shell sit snugly along the sides of the case, allowing you to see the logo on each side. As it charges, you'll also be able to see the glowing light through the shell. The shell halves fit perfectly into specific slots, with one being slightly larger than the other. I made the clasp stronger by making it thicker, preventing it from breaking at the lamination layers. This ensures that it doesn't flex when opening or closing the case. You may need to sand it down a bit to get the perfect clearance for easy closure without excessive force. It's easiest to plug in the Sphero using the USB cable before closing the lid, rather than trying to do it with the case shut. This is because the Sphero rolls around freely inside the case, making it difficult to orient otherwise.
