Sphero Micro Carrying Case

Sphero Micro Carrying Case

This is a print-in-place case for the Sphero Mini. It has space to carry all the parts from the toy, including the bowling pins and charge cable. It also allows charging of the Sphero with the case closed. The two halves of the Sphero shell sit along the sides of the case, so that you can see the logo on each side. It also allows you to see the charging glow while it's plugged in, shining through the shell. The shell halves fit in specific slots, with one being slightly larger than the other. I made the clasp thicker to prevent it from breaking along the lamination layers, so it doesn't flex to open or close. It may require some sanding to get the right amount of clearance to close but still remain easy enough to open without excessive force. I've found it easiest to plug the Sphero in with the USB cable before closing the lid, rather than trying to plug it in while the case is closed. It rolls around freely inside the case, making it tough to orient otherwise. Print instructionsCategory: Toy & Game Accessories Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 15% Notes: This was printed in PLA at .2 layer height. No supports or raft needed. It does require a printer with a bed size of 202 mm to print, so not all printers may work. I also left 2 mm of gap in each hinge, to prevent it from fusing while printing with less precise print heads.
