
Spherical Wave Horn Generator

This is a creator for spherical wave horns (Kugelwellenhorn / Kugelwellenhörner) designed to amplify sound sources by audio impedance matching. The compact size confines it to high frequency applications, unless you have access to massive printers capable of handling oversized designs. As an impromptu follow-up design, this model is a minimal-effort creation from scratch, building upon my previous "Tractrix Horn Generator" available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:218241. I created this follow-up in response to a request from madseh on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/madseh/about. The inherent overhangs of these horns pose printing challenges, particularly the need for support material due to their complex geometry. To overcome this issue, you could print it with the open side facing downwards. However, I chose not to flatten the throat like in my tractric horn design, as it would require suspension on support material regardless. When scaling up the design, make sure to match the material thickness to the horn size for optimal performance.
