Update: I've added PanCam_PanBaseA_45.stl to the files, which features a base that snaps into place every 45 degrees instead of the standard 30 degrees. This revised design makes it easier to take panoramas with the camera in portrait position. Here are two spherical panoramas taken using this tripod head: https://ssl.panoramio.com/photo_explorer#view=photo&position=0&with_photo_id=114493851&order=date_desc&user=8522613 Another panoramic image can be viewed here: https://ssl.panoramio.com/photo_explorer#view=photo&position=0&with_photo_id=114526388&order=date_desc&user=8522613 This tripod head is specifically designed to take spherical panoramas using a Sigma 10-20mm lens. It rotates the lens around the focal point, eliminating perspective distortion and ensuring precise control over each exposure. The head features a 30-degree snap rotation mechanism for panning and a 30-degree increment ratchet for tilt adjustments, allowing for quick and easy transitions between shots. To assemble the head, you'll need several M3x20 countersunk screws (including one 25mm long screw for the clamp hinge), as well as M6 bolts for the tilt axis and M5 bolts for the clamp tightening screw and base screw. The latches require a spring with a diameter of 5mm and a length of approximately 2cm. A pen spring may serve as a suitable substitute.
