Spheres of Influence Box Insert w/ Magnets!
thingiverse
I created a revised version of the insert, taking into account lessons learned from my previous attempt. Just as I began designing this project, I stumbled upon an insert by LuckyDude78 for Rallyman GT that utilized 5mmx2mm magnets. The concept resonated with me, and I decided to give it a try. Some key points to consider: 1. My cards are housed in KMC Perfect Fit Sleeves, which served as the starting point for my design. All card slots measure 93mmx67mm, so it's possible that other sleeved cards may fit as well. 2. Two Filler Blocks must be printed. 3. The Special Action Top and Bottom files are identical, with duplicates included to ensure users can verify their printouts. This design allows for cards to be held together before separating into a draw/discard holder. Be aware that the magnets I used are strong enough to lift the entire box off the table; test and consider this when using. 4. The STLs were exported directly from F360 without rotation, so lid files will need to be rotated to lie flat. 5. Pictures are ordered in the sequence they would be placed within the box for a logical arrangement. 6. This insert can be used for vertical storage if preferred. 7. Warping is a concern; print most components with a decent brim and avoid using heat guns or hair dryers for stringing cleanup to minimize warping issues.
