Spheres and rods Pyramid
thingiverse
Simple sculpture, my first subscription. Don't ask me the purpose; I had a specific one in mind, but for you, it would likely serve as a benchmark test or a sculpture. The result was passable with a rough 0.2 resolution. I needed it fast, but I highly recommend a finer resolution and slower print speeds for much better results. The bottoms of the balls and horizontal rods are thin and resting on supports, making them appear significantly rougher than the rest of the print; they should require some sanding to remove support leftovers. Use low infill; it will actually make the part tougher by having less weight. No part benefits from higher infill here, and it helps compensate in time and amount of filament for the lower print speed and the necessary supports and rafts. Since I used SolidWorks' assembly constraints, its geometry and angles are perfect, not rounded. This should be a nice test bench for your printer, filament, or parameters since it has so many angles, overhangs, and overall tough forms to print. I hope some of you will find use for it.
