Built off of this thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26267) for my husband's homebrew kegerator. Cat head topper is for his Charlie RIS series. Instructions Inset lettering and spherical tops we done in tinkercad. There isn't any threading, but it's the perfect size and PLA is soft enough to grip. These hold on securely and function very well. Horribly painted with rustoleum.
