Neodymium sphere magnets make for a thrilling toy, but they come with one major flaw: the nickel coating that safeguards against corrosion is extremely vulnerable to damage - especially at magnetic-pole junctures where the spheres intersect other magnets or magnetic objects. Utilizing these two split molds, you can create a 2-part casting process that encases 2 neodymium sphere magnets within a protective shell made from Oogoo. This shell is just 1mm thick. Instructions to Follow: Cast a small batch of Oogoo. Split it into part A and part B, and cast the first half-sphere using either component. Wait for it to harden. Once set, pry open the mold, then insert a neodymium sphere magnet into part B - be mindful of orientation as pole alignment works better when aligning them with the main axis; you can also try positioning perpendicular to see what sticks. Prepare another small batch of Oogoo, then fill the second component with the material and snap it over the first part containing the magnet. Seal both halves by applying gentle pressure. Let this combined piece harden completely. Finally, split open the mold, trim off excess material from the castings, and you'll be left with beautifully encased magnets.
