Spektrum DX6i Replacement Trim Tabs (mod)
thingiverse
I modified thing:323708 to replace my trim tab/trim lever on my Spektrum DX9. The axle I used is 3mm, but should be slightly thicker (1/8" = 3.18mm). Print Settings Printer Brand: Leapfrog Printer: Creatr Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: High Infill: 50% Notes: Printed with transparent PETG filament Post-Printing I added a metal axle for better durability. The axle is a part from a carriage guidance rail from a broken CDROM drive, which is 3mm but should be slightly thicker (1/8" = 3.18mm). I made the hole exactly 3mm by hand using a drill and cut the axle to length (5/16" = 7.94 mm), then press fitted it in the hole. How I Designed This Mod from thing:323708 was a great starting point. I imported STL into Blender, reduced it to a 2D plane, exported as DXF, then imported it into Sketchup where I changed contours and made 3D with push/pull to required thickness before exporting as STL.
