Spektrum DX6 Stand
thingiverse
I had to print at a 45-degree angle to get an excellent print quality. Printing flat with supports didn't work out well, as the supports were too difficult to remove. This approach worked perfectly. I couldn't find a suitable stand for the newer Spektrum radios, so I decided to create one myself. Although I don't use Spektrum, a good friend of mine does, and he kindly lent me his radio so that I could make this. One catch is that you need to wrap the area under the clip with one layer of silicone tape. I had to do this because the handle isn't round, and I needed the stand to be able to swivel. I tried making collets initially, but they all ended up being too large. I may revisit the collet idea later. This solution works well, and if done correctly, you won't see the tape. You could use electrical tape instead, but then your radio would get messy. The clip and holes are designed for standard M3 button head screws.
