Spektrum AR6410L Receiver mounting clips
thingiverse
I use the receiver in lightweight indoor model aircraft. The AR6410L receiver can be glued into a model, but this makes it permanent. The mounting clip can be glued into the model, allowing the receiver to be easily removed and put into other models. The mounting clip was designed with Fusion 360, which outputs .stl files at 90 degrees, so I use Cura to lay them back down flat. They are printed with a layer height of 0.2mm and 25% fill. I've tried printing them at 100% fill, but apart from being a fraction heavier, there seems to be little difference. All have been printed with PLA. I've seen receiver clips on sale for £4.50; this only costs a few pence. The initial mount design has built-in clips that lock the receiver in place and ensure the circuitry/wiring doesn't get trapped. Mine weighed 0.78g. The second one has a narrower inside frame but is identical to the first apart from that. This one weighed 0.68g. The third version was designed because space was tight, and the square frame wouldn't fit inside the fuselage of my latest model. The clips are in the same places but held together with a cross-piece. The flat cross-part can be glued in, and the receiver clipped into place. This one weighed 0.52g. Update 09/07/2017 - Added a couple of photos showing one of the indoor planes that uses the holder along with printed wing ribs and wheels Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25%
