I replaced my old Speedport W724V with a brand new wall mounting plate adapter and securely fastened it to the wall using two sturdy screws. Since I'm upgrading to the state-of-the-art Fritz!Box 7590, I didn't want to create any additional holes in the wall, so I took matters into my own hands and crafted an elegant adapter plate that fits perfectly on its predecessor.
