Speedplay Pedal Dust Cap

Speedplay Pedal Dust Cap

Speedplay make great racing pedals, but unfortunately, they've just changed hands - Wahoo now owns them. The first thing Wahoo did was discontinue the Speedplay maintenance kit, which is a huge blow to pedal enthusiasts. The bearing dust cover tends to get forced out if you apply too much grease, and since it's only available as part of the maintenance kit, it seems like they're no longer obtainable. I've designed a model that serves as a direct replacement for the dust cover, and as an added bonus, you can print it in a color that matches your bike. The dust cover plays a crucial role in getting grease into the bearings - simply remove the small screw, inject the grease, and voila! However, if you've lost the cover, chances are you've also misplaced the screw. These screws are 3mm counter-sunk self-tapping screws, measuring 4mm long without a point. Unfortunately, I was only able to find 6mm long ones on Amazon, but with a bit of filing, they can be shortened and their points removed.
