Speedlight Umbrella Holder

I needed a convenient way to secure my speedlights and diffuser umbrellas to my tripods, so they were perfectly centered. My existing quick releases weren't cutting it, as they positioned the flash far off-center from the umbrella. To solve this problem, I created two custom mounts that attach directly to the quick release mechanism on my tripods. The speedlights are securely fastened to the top of each mount, while a 9mm hole allows for easy attachment of diffuser umbrellas below. I use two 12" straps to keep everything in place, but zip ties or Velcro straps would work just as well. A small 3mm hole accommodates a set screw, which I simply threaded through with whatever was handy from my toolbox.
