Speed Test Tower
thingiverse
This is meant to test the speed capabilities of your printer quickly and easily. I've sliced each model in Cura and tweaked at various heights to increase the printer's speed as it moves up the tower efficiently. If you have a 200mm x 200mm bed (such as Maker Select or Wanhao i3), you can download the GCODE directly without any issues. If your bed is not large enough, please do not download - homing will not work correctly! But if you do have the same or similar printer, downloading the GCODE is probably easier. Here are the instructions on setting up your own Speed Test for Slicing: 1. Download this model now. 2. Import it into Cura and adjust Tweak at Z as follows: a) Start with a print speed of 20 mm/s. b) Alter print speed only every 12.5mm. c) Add another "Tweak at Z" and alter print speed every 12.5mm again. Slice and print immediately! The supplied GCODE is for 1.75 mm PLA at 195C, 50C bed temperature, 0.4 mm nozzle size, and 0.2 mm layer height precisely.
