Speed Multiplier / Divider Knob

<p>My Ender 3 requires 4-5 knob inputs to change nozzle temperature. &nbsp;Some printer knobs provide very course inputs, where setting a value is difficult because of over/undershooting desired set point. &nbsp;To provide a gadget that addresses both issues, the Speed Multiplier / Divider Knob is offered. &nbsp;I used the Fusion 360 gear generator to design the gears. &nbsp;</p><p>Functions: &nbsp;Place the small gear on the potentiometer and turn the large gear to obtain a rotational speed increase (3:1). &nbsp; &nbsp;Or place the large gear on the knob and turn the small gear to reduce rotational speed (1:3). &nbsp;In either case, turning the gear on top of the knob provides no speed change.</p><p>I was too inept to add an intermediate gear to allow rotation direction to be consistent between the input and output gears. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The unit is a single print without support. &nbsp;The clearance (tolerance) between the gears and the base is 0.4 mm. &nbsp;The gear shaft to hole clearance is 0.5 mm. &nbsp;It broke apart using a hammer and knife. &nbsp;</p><p>Two-sided tape holds the assembly to the panel.</p>
