The heart of the spectroscope is contained within this box, which houses a raw input slot that requires refinement before use. A mobile support for a DVD component is attached, equipped with a site for an M3 nut connected to the support via an elastic or spring, and secured in place by an M3 bolt to adjust the light incidence angle. The input and output ports feature M42 threads to accommodate additional equipment. To assemble the spectroscope, the spect4 object must be printed twice. A revised version of the design incorporates M4 nuts instead of M3 nuts. Additionally, an adapter is provided to connect a 49mm photo filter to the M42 thread system.
