Spectral Lantern: Freestanding or Clip-on

I crafted this hanging gem lantern as a clip-on accessory for my True Tiles dungeon, envisioning it lining a corridor with elegance. To ensure inclusivity, I also created a freestanding version that fits within a 1" square space, allowing users of higher walled dungeon tiles to enjoy this design. Special gratitude goes to Curufin, the designer behind True Tiles, for graciously permitting me to share my accessories that utilize his ingenious clip system. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 100% Notes: Due to the dramatic overhang, you'll need to flip this piece upside down in your software and enable supports everywhere for a successful print. My initial attempt at 80 mm/s resulted in an unsatisfactory outcome; I recommend starting with 60 or even 40 mm/s, depending on your printer's tuning. To ensure durability, consider printing the post with 100% infill, as it may be subjected to wear and tear during gaming sessions. If overhang proves challenging, try opting for the shorter versions, which might print more smoothly. Post-Printing: This model required a light sanding after removing supports and was successfully painted using Vallejo Model Colors. I suggest starting with a black base coat; if you're printing in black PLA, you might achieve decent results without one. A clear coat is not necessary.
