The Python Fishing Pole is an ingenious attachment designed by Aaron Brown of Axislab 3D for his revolutionary Python Prosthetic hand. To learn more about this incredible assistive device, visit https://www.youmagine.com/designs/python-utility-hand-alternative-assistive-device. I have fond memories of spending countless days fishing with my father at a nearby pond and wanted to create something that would enable disabled kids to share in the joy of the sport with their parents. The goal is to build a straightforward fishing pole that can be easily attached to the Python Prosthetic hand using minimal non-printed components. To make assembly easier, I've included a comprehensive PDF file detailing the necessary parts and instructions for building the Python Fishing Pole. This attachment promises to bring endless hours of fun and excitement to kids with disabilities, allowing them to fish alongside their loved ones. One potential future enhancement that's been on my mind is developing a mechanism to prevent the reel from spinning freely, similar to how a come-a-long works. Perhaps the community has already brainstormed better ideas for this crucial component? Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
