Spectacle Case
grabcad
This project entails redesigning a spectacle case for gas mask glasses, originally made from 0.5 mm steel sheet metal, into a 3D-printed version using ABS plastic with a wall thickness of 1 mm. The goal is to test the stability and overall success of this design. The 3D printing will be done by Fabberhouse as the user does not have a printer themselves. This adapted design caters to the user's personal use, specifically for their second pair of slip-on sunglasses. Their first pair uses the original case from their military service over 40 years ago. A Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis would provide insight into the wall thickness' adequacy but cannot be performed by the user themselves. The STEP file of the complete assembly and native files for PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 are available, with feedback in the form of likes and comments highly appreciated.
With this file you will be able to print Spectacle Case with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Spectacle Case.
