Specialized M Lock shoe attaching point replacement

So my Specialized cycling shoes M Lock attaching point broke, making the shoe unusable. I studied it carefully and came up with a plan to fix it myself. I had to remove the stitching to get the broken part out of the shoe. Taking some measurements, I was able to move forward. When reinstalling the part, I used a heated pin to create the stitching holes in the part. Using nylon thread, I stitched around the part instead of across it, thinking this might have been what caused the original part to break. In the end, my shoe was as good as new. I made the part white so I could always say with pride... "Yep, I made that."
