Special Polypanels for 20 by 20 Extrusions in 3D printers

On my 3D printer, an Ender 3, the frame is comprised of sturdy 20 by 20 extrusions. With these versatile polypanels, you can create custom filament guides and decorative elements for your 3D printing setup. Given that I'm working with an Ender 3, I'll be printing out these polypanels to make a reliable filament guide. The first polypanel attaches directly to the end of each extrusion. The second polypanel provides crucial support for the filament guide, holding it securely in place. Meanwhile, the third model is specifically designed as a filament guide, carefully guiding the filament into position while the extruder slowly feeds it through. I also included an end clip design, which was my first attempt at creating a functional solution. Unfortunately, every time it was inserted into the extrusion, it broke off and didn't fit properly. In contrast, the revised version I'm working on now serves as a sleeve that fits seamlessly and stays in place without falling off. This model highlights the challenges I encountered when working with polypanels. Notably, all of these designs can be printed without requiring any additional supports. Once my filament guide is complete, I'll share it with you in our next competition. It's truly astonishing what can be achieved with polypanels.
