I designed this speaker spacer specifically for my boat, where it had been fitted with holes originally intended for 5.25-inch speakers. Not wanting to drill a new hole in the side of the boat, I created spacers that fit perfectly around my new kicker 6.5-inch speakers. Perhaps I'm not alone in needing something like this.
