SPEAKER PROTOTYPE V 0.1

SPEAKER PROTOTYPE V 0.1

thingiverse

This experimental little speaker features 3CM magnets, preferably neodymium ones. It has a full PLA build but uses a better quality "Canson" paper membrane at 120g/m. Check out the YouTube video here for more information. Note that glue and M3 screws are required, and two STL files must be printed in PLA flex: spider and suppressor. Additionally, you'll need special 0.4mm copper wire (recommended) for the coil. The prototype uses a 0.2mm copper, ferrite magnet, and PLA membrane, but it's recommended to use neodymium magnets, 0.4mm copper, and paper membranes for better performance. Printing this speaker may be challenging, as PLA flex is difficult to impress. Follow the instructions below for assembly: 1. First, print the magnet case (holder) and insert four standard magnets inside. Roll the magnet case on a sheet of paper to match the size and place the magnet bouillon up. 2. Create the coil using coil, coil2, coil3, and coil end; glue the two parts together. Roll the coil on a piece of paper to ensure smooth surfaces and create an 8-ohm bobbin with the copper wire. 3. Assemble the coil in position for the next step. Proceed with upper2, clip, and spider2. Secure these components with four M3 screws, starting from the bottom and working your way up: 1. Magnet case 2. Upper2 3. Clip 4. Spider2 After that, attach two upper3 components using screws and print the donutacroche piece (which is challenging to print and requires PLA flex). Cut a 0.3mm middle section with a scalpel and glue it onto upper3. Finally, create or print a membrane using paper (preferably) and glue it to the coil end and donutacroche. Enjoy your new speaker, and if you encounter any issues, feel free to ask for help. (Version 1 in progress)
